Kylie Minogue Agrees to work with her sister Dannii Minogue On The X Factor Australia

The news that Kylie will feature as a mentor is a huge coup not only for the show, but also for Dannii in her debut season as a judge on the show. Dannii has previously appeared as a judge on the British X Factor – and in her 2009 season on the show Kylie also stepped in to play mentor to Dannii's contestant proteges.

Kylie Minogue will be making a very special guest appearance on the upcoming season of The X Factor Australia, agreeing to work alongside her sister Dannii Minogue as a mentor to the contestants.

The last time the Minogue sisters worked together on Australian TV was during their breakout years on Young Talent Time in the 80s.

The new episode featuring Kylie and Dannii was filmed in New York last week, where Kylie is currently working on her new album, and will air later in the year when the X Factor launches.

Speaking of the news about Kylie’s involvement Danni said, "This is a change. Kylie is a huge X Factor fan."

Kylie added, "Dannii is so good at this, I'm just along for the ride. It's really fun to do something together, so it was a done deal when she asked me. This kind of show is one of Dannii's natural habitats, but I do feel at home on a TV set and being with my sister... We're both comfortable in this environment."

Kylie was also recently asked whether she would have considered auditioning for a show like The X Factor if she was starting out in the industry - to which she replied, "I have questioned that myself. I don't know. I'm sure I wouldn't make it through. I really am."
